And for tonights projects....

Well, I had no kids to chase around, so I actually accomplished quite a bit tonight.

Not to mention the five tutus worth of tulle chopped up and ready for vacation!

I still need to add these to my shop. Not sure on the last one, what do you think? That's a seashell in the center. Ahh, I don't know!

So I'm going to bed now, that E6000 really makes my throat tighten up and my head hurt, and man I use it and run lol. It's the only thing I trust to really hold stuff that's gonna need the extra strength though.

I have some seashells I am trying to decide what to do with. I have an idea in my head, so I am wondering if house varnish might work to stregthen and shine and protect. Any ideas?

Well, tomorrow it is work, then pack, pack, pack. Plus Lex is having a friend overnight. Should be interesting. I hope to have a few projects to take with me to finish while the kids sleep. I think I should have three tutu/blanket combos I can have finished by the end of the holliday.

Well, goodnight, and thanks for reading. Tons of love!

Hey there friends

Well, it's been a long week, but I'm through the thick of it, phew! Ice skating show was fabulous, Lexi did great, the whole show was awsome.

We pulled off the closing social without a hitch, and my dad (me lol) won some great prizes in the raffle. Looks like I finally get to fly! (iFly)

I made these for the girls to where tonight.

I really need to sell stuff lol. No, no lol. I really do need to sell stuff! Ahhh. I guess if I listed it all I would have better luck maybe...

Everyone loved the hearts, so I am gonna make a bunch more of those I think. I've got four bracelets done too, just need to decide what to adorn them with. What do you think? Jewels, beads, flowers? Maybe a nice combo of all of the above.

Well, off to bed, thanks for reading!

Hello world, I've missed you. Rw

Allright, I haven't really been anywhere, but I feel like I have.

We have been such busy little bees around here! We finished the ice show (phew), and soccer is done. We have one more big night Tuesday, the closing social for the figure skating club, then summer can start.

We are so excited about the trailer on the ranch in Idaho. I'm not sure yet how that will affect our crafting, but I think it will help focus us more.

We leave for West Yellowstone/Ennis/Virginia City on Friday, then we will stay Sun night at the ranch. Lexi is so excited for our adventure!

We finally listed some of our finished items on Etsy, so please pop over and let us know what you think of them. We listed the blue dress, the tutu, and the tutu/blanket combo. I have more of those, I just need to sit down and churn them out off the sewing machine. They only need finishing touches.

I made this for my stepmom for Mother's day

It is blue suaded material with a vintage amber earring attached. Of course it's no longer an earring lol.

I hope she likes it. This is the fourth try, but now I have the technique down I think I will be making them and adding them to our shop. I love that it's completly original.

Well, I've missed you all, so pipe up and say something okay?

Thanks for reading!

Hello world

Well, I road tripped last weekend. I didn't go to Vegas. If you know me, you know I have been kinda stuck on repeat for a long time. Well, I decided to break out and do something new, so I drove. I hit Idaho (quickly), and then Montana. Idaho is beautiful, and I usually get stuck there. I had it in my head to go to Big Sky/Bozeman though, so I blew through Idaho. I made it West Yellowstone and considered staying there. It was still pretty light though, so I pressed on. Here's what I encountered next:

It was so beautiful it took my breath away.

I made it to Big Sky, but I didn't really have a plan from there. It was dark, and there were lots of animals on the road, so I decided to stay the night in the parking lot of the Half Moon Saloon. Of course I went in and became a regular first.

(day 2 continues)

Deep breath

Well, I can see my desk. It doesn't mean I'm caught up, but I feel a little better.

I need to take photos and list all the stuff we have finished. It's been wayyy to long since I've listed. It just seems like by the time I am done with work, the last thing I want to do is more computer stuff. Lol.

Alexia had a playdate today, and we thought a craft would be a good idea. So I cut up some fleece they could tie together to make pillows. FYI not a good craft project for 8 year olds lol. So, here is the result after I finished tieing.

They turned out adorable, and I cut some fleece initials out & used fabric fusion to glue them on.

Well, thanks for reading, have a great evening.

Ahhh Mother's Day

Well, I may have been able to avoid working Mother' Day if I had worked all day today, but I really needed a day off, at least from paperwork. I have nightmares about getting trapped in my piles of manila folders. So I started the day with an early am ice skating lesson followed by one quarter of the soccer game. We came home via fruitless yard sales, and I started putting the bunkbeds together. The instructions have no words, so that's gonna take me a while!

Craft wise I finished one baby blanket (so cute), and need to create the tutu for it (and the hair clip). I can wait to get it together, it will be such a perfect baby gift. I also just finished (they need to dry) these charming hair clips to gift to Alexia's soccer team. They are so cute, I hope they love the surprise.

The white center is glue that dries clear, so you will only see the pink seed beads.

Well, I'm tired, so I'm gonna call it a night.

Happy Mother's Day to the mommies, and, as always, thanks for reading.

Good morning!

So sorry we have been MIA this week. Work is disturbingly busy, and Alexia has us chasing our tail in circles with her soccer and ice skating.

We finally made a sale, woo hoo! Then we made another one! So my baby tutus are gone. I have a few I haven't listed yet, so I guess I better get the rear in gear and get it done. We are going to change up the baby tutus a bit by bundleing them with fleece blankets and flowers for the hair (or anything really). It's cute in my head, and will use that HUGE surplus of fleece I bought a couple of years ago. I think when I use up all the tulle I have I am going to be done with tulle for a while though.

We are considering a second dog, so we went to the animal shelter. We love our Chewy, but think he would be happier with a friend. Plus we'd kinda like a dog that we can play fetch with lol. Chewy is a lover, it ends there. Anyway, there were labs (too big I think), and pitbulls (dad would disown me, even though I think they are the sweetest). The only one that seemed like a good fit was a medium size mix named Zoey. She is the sweetest thing. But she is a puppy, and obviously completly untrained. I'm not sure I can go through another puppy. She jumps, which worries me with the baby. So I have to decide if we should go back with Chewy to see if they get along. I know they will though. So really I have to decide if we can handle a puppy.

Well, I need to get back to the grind, so much to do today! Then more ice skating tonight, and again Sat at 8:45, then the second half of Lexi's soccer game, then I am free to craft again!

Out of town

Well, I am in California at the figure skating general council meeting. Very exciting stuff (for long boring meetings). Really, I am learning a ton. I'm really excited for the sport in general, and very excited for the direction of our club. When I get home I think I am really going to encourage my daughter to step up her figure skating game, as well as take back to the ice myself. I've always loved to ice skate, but I never was a figure skater.

She made it back from Disneyland with daddy in time for her soccer game. She scored the only goal, but she proudly told me it was a huge team effort. Well, I'm gonna eat some lunch, then get back to this meeting. I can't wait to get home tomorrow!
